About the Facility
The Uptown Market is located at 220 Maxwell Ave. in the heart of Greenwood, South Carolina.
This open-air pavilion is reminiscent of an old train station with beautiful brickwork, concrete flooring and a pitched rooftop that covers the entire space.
The pavilion provides easy access for vendors and their customers. Vendors have access to electricity, water, restrooms and ADA compliant parking.
Revolutionary Times Market & Fair
On Saturday, November 18, the Uptown Market of Greenwood will transform into a colonial-themed shopping experience. This event is free and open to the general public from the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase items from vendors offering unique wares relatable to the colonial time period. While shopping, guests can enjoy special music, watch craft persons demonstrate their skills, interact with reenactors and purchase items.
Colonial Reenactors
Reenactors wear colonial-period attire and stroll through the Market or demonstrate their craftsmanship while interacting with guests. We are looking for historians, reenactors, musicians, storytellers, potters, basket weavers, quilters, woodworkers, blacksmiths, and others to demonstrate colonial/revolutionary-era skillsets that enhance the experience for our guests. Limited space is available (at no charge) for those who request a reserved space to demonstrate their expertise.
Vendor Information
We are looking for vendors who specialize in selling authentic-looking colonial/revolutionary-era products/services that are sought after by history buffs, reenactors and of interest to the general public. We are also looking for vendors who offer food items that were traditionally found in a colonial home (fresh baked breads, jams, herbs, etc.) and local farmers to sell fresh produce. Registration and booth rental are required.
